Spring 2010
If you really think about it, parks benefit the town’s economy in many
ways. For example, parks provide a
community with low cost recreation opportunities for our children, giving them
a safe place to go after school and on weekends. In return, this reduces the likelihood of
juvenile crime in the community. Bring your family and friends out for a day of
fun and adventure that will leave you feeling rejuvenated inside, but won’t
lighten your wallet.
I urge all of you to come out and enjoy your parks this year.

to teach our children about their environment and the importance of community
service. It is just another way to help
children connect with their community in a positive way providing them with a
sense of pride and ownership.
